CMW Automation (Eastern Cape) (Pty) Ltd is an Automation Solution Company with offices Port Elizabeth and the Western Cape servicing the Local as well as other National and International Industries. Established in 1997 in Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape with the view of extending the expertise gained further a field to such Industries as the Automotive and Tyre Manufactures. CMW Automation is accredited with a BEE Level 4 rating. CMW Automation celebrated its 25th anniversary in May 2022.

Project Management

CMW Automation, will on behalf of its clients, manage the complete installation of a Plant or Building Automation System. Such services include drawing up project schedules, overseeing contractors, monitoring project schedules and highlighting variations to financial constraints.

Electrical Schematic Design

We use E3series Schematic and Panel design from ZUKEN for all inhouse projects as well as offering a as-built service to clients who do not have adequate or incomplete documentation. The E3 schematic manages all design data including affiliated documents, such as bill of materials and connection lists or assembly instructions and datasheets. Its object-oriented data structure ensures manufacturing instructions always match the design data.

Switchboards / MCC's

We have access to a fully equipped workshops for the manufacture of Motor Control Centers and Instrumentation panels. All the switchboards used are fully type tested assemblies complying with the requirements of SABS / IEC 439-1. A full compliance certificate can be produced on request.

The Modicon M580 ePAC is the first high-end integrated controller built for EcoStruxure™ Plant in an open, flexible, reliable, sustainable, safe, and secure architecture. It features redundant controllers and safety controllers (safety PLC SIL3) with native Ethernet, and cybersecurity embedded in its core. Process or safety processors both use the same Modicon X80 I/O modules platform and EcoStruxure Control Expert (formerly known as Unity Pro) software for programming and configuration.
